Thursday 25th January 2018 saw BBI’s first Meeting of Minds in the stunning Tearoom with the dazzling view in Van Nelle Fabriek.

We welcomed decision makers from the investment community and real estate owners to participate in an engaging discussion with two game changers moderated by Lara Muller on the value of health & well being in the built environment.

Dana Pillai, Executive Director of WELL Living Lab, shared with us the latest insights on the impact of the built environment on human health.

Nils Kok, Chief Economist of GeoPhy and Associate Professor at Maastricht University gave an amazing presentation on the economic value of healthy buildings.

Director of Van Nelle Fabriek Hans Baggerman took us for a short intermezzo and showed us how this ‘poem of steel and glass’ integrated health features like an abundance of daylight for its workforce. In 1930 is was the first building in Europe like this and since 2014 on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Phil Williams, President of Business Development at Delos, summed up and after an inspiring group discussion a fine selection of healthy foods was served and the day ended with networking drinks.
